BASEBALL/T-BALL INFO
SVAA's goal is to create an environment where every child will play and learn the game. No tryouts are required.
SVAA has been organizing baseball leagues for over 50 years. Over 2,400 participants play in the fall and spring seasons. Our T-Ball league is for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten boys. Machine pitch is 1st-3rd grades (pitching machine speeds: 1st at 32 mph, 2nd at 34 mph, 3rd at 37 mph), and player pitch is 4th-6th grades.
Our Spring season runs mid-March through 1st week of June. Games will be played on both weeknights and weekends. There will be standings and tournaments for grades 1-6.
Our Fall season begins after Labor Day and runs through late October. Jerseys and trophies are not provided in the fall.
Every effort will be made to reschedule games postponed due to weather. While we strive to make up as many games as possible, rescheduling cannot be guaranteed due to field availability, scheduling constraints, and season timelines.
Coaches may request a practice field by completing a practice request form. SVAA assigns practice times and practices are limited to one per week.
Children have to be 4 years of age by April 1 to be able to participate in the Pre-Kindergarten Baseball Program.
There is a substitution rule which states that no player may sit on the bench for two consecutive defensive innings. Each team must bat its roster. Team size maximum is 12 players for all grades.
