Baseball

SVAA's goal is to create an environment where every child will play and learn the game. No tryouts are required.

SVAA has been organizing baseball leagues for over 35 years. Over 2,000 play in the fall and spring seasons. Our T-Ball league is for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten boys. Machine pitch is 1-3rd grades (pitching machine speeds:1st at 32mph, 2nd at 34mph, 3rd at 37mph), and player pitch is 4-12th grades.

Our Spring season runs April through the end of June and covers grades PreK-12. Games will be played on both weeknights and weekends. Rain outs will be rescheduled. Practice days and times are scheduled by the coach. There will be standings and tournaments.

Our Fall season begins after Labor Day and runs through late October and covers grades PreK-9. Games will be played on Saturday or Sunday only. Rain outs will not be rescheduled. Practices are optional and at the discretion of the coach. No jerseys, standings, no tournaments, no trophies.

There is a substitution rule which states that no player may sit on the bench for two consecutive defensive innings. Each team must bat its roster. Team size maximum is 14 players for PreK-5th grade. Boys 6th and up have a maximum of 14 players.
